I Will Promise You a Rose garden

I am going to be making topiaries with home dried roses. If you are interested, here is what you need to do.
1. Let me know that you are interested.
2. Start carrying for those rose bushes. Speak to them , Fertilize them (the olden days they called that 'dunging' them.) Watch for the little buds.
3. Dry the buds before they open too far. (Stems as long as possible please) Use the air drying method. Here is a site that explains it , but really..it's just hanging them upside down in suitable conditions.          http://www.save-on-crafts.com/dryingroses.html
4. Be on the look out for great sticks to use as topiary stems. You know best the look you will love.

 I may make the bases and willoffer to help others make theirs, If  you prefer, find the ultimmate container for you!

Grateful for a wonderful Family

You guys are wonderful! I am excited about Thanksgiving. I am accepting 'reservations' for the food donation of your choice. What do you want to bring? First person gets their choice EX: we don't want three bowls of mashed potatoes...well maybe we do, but really! (Actually, Dad is doing the potatoes. ) We are providing the turkey. Let ma know what you are bringing.

I am not going to be able to get this together what with the Applekin Festival. I purpose we try for the first week in November. I need from you:
Blocks of wood in various sizes. 2 by would be the best width.
Short thoughts, saying etc on gratitude.

Bright Ideas

Does anyone have a bright idea for an April project? I could suggest bracelets, cards or find a n Easter craft. Let me know if you have a bright idea.

Beautiful You!

Great ready for a positively fun night. Thursday March 3rd at my Stake Center at 7:00 PM. We are learning about positive thinking and reaching our potential. Learning who we are so that we can succeed in our dreams, love others and be good tools for our Heavenly Father.
You will need to come prepared with:
Your favorite scriptures
A list of words that describe you in a positive light or are just positive words.
Affirmation type quotes (we will have some of these)
Pictures of your family, best friends, The Savior etc.
Old Church magazines will be greatly appreciated.
It would be helpful if you had them printed on 4X6 papers in the fonts you like. I have some vellum if you would like to try that also.
I have purchased the books and am cutting up cute paper to use. If you have a certain theme you want me to look for, please leave me a comment. I am so excited to do this. I know that I am happier when I realize who I am and what I am capable of doing. We can be strong and happy without being stuck up and proud. Did I forget anything? Leave a comment and let me know.

Cupid is out Hunting

Secret Princesses are going to make their sweeties some Valentine PJ bottoms. What is needed?
"Borrow" a pair of pajama pants that are comfortable from your sweetie. (yes, scrubs will work also.)
Twice the length of your sweetie plus maybe 1/4 yard. (2 1/2 - 2 3/4 yard of 45" fabric.)
Thread
Drawstring material. IE- Twill tape, bias tape or you can make self drawstrings...just more work.
5/8 " - 3/4" elastic- enough for the waist.
If you can bring a sewing machine the night of the project, it will really help.
I am setting aside Thursday and Friday nights on the 1st week of February. If you don't think that will be enough time, I will be available on this Friday, I just need to know so I don't make new plans.
It was suggested we shop for fabric together which I am willing to do. I am available Friday after 3:00 PM.
